We are a forward-thinking Teaching School Alliance where pupils with SEND are at the ‘heart’ of all decision-making. A desire to become world class in all areas in ITT, CPD and School to School Support; we have a relentless focus on creative, inspirational and inclusive leadership and teaching, which maximises opportunities for pupils with SEND to learn and achieve!

Welcome to Inclusive Teaching School Alliance

The Inclusive Teaching School Alliance (iTSA) is led by St. Giles School, which is an outstanding primary special school in Derby City. As a single teaching school, St Giles is leading an alliance of mainstream and special schools across Derby and Nottingham, delivering SEND specific school-to-school support, CLPD, & ITT. iTSA aims to ensure that young people with SEND achieve the best outcomes by being fully included in their educational setting. Our alliance will work across all phases and sectors, and together we are committed to improving the school system for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. iTSA is a hub of information for school leaders, teachers, support staff, families, community organisations and businesses who require advice, support and guidance on meeting the needs of young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
