Hallam TSA believes in providing the highest quality teacher training and teacher CPD to secure the future of the profession and student outcomes in our region. Hallam TSA values educational research to inform practice that has proven impact. Hallam TSA believes in collaborating to achieve sustainable system improvement.

Welcome to Hallam Teaching School Alliance

Hallam TSA operates out of Notre Dame High School, Sheffield, with St Catherine’s acting as our primary arm. Hallam TSA works closely with a large number schools across South Yorkshire through its activities as a SCITT, South Yorkshire Maths Hub and a regional Science Learning Partnership regional hub. The SCITT delivers ITT training at both Primary and Secondary through Hallam TSA and accredits trainees from 4 other School Direct Partnerships who deliver our ITT course. At a regional level we are involved in a number of initiatives around recruitment to Maths and Physics and lead a number of funded research projects. Our research impact extends to a national level, with Hallam TSA playing a leading role in an EEF funded RCT of our SMART Spaces revision and teaching materials. As a teaching school we have a strong track record of providing effective school to school support, actively collaborating on SSIF bids and providing support through staff secondment and Pupil Premium reviews.
