Drew Povey - Channel 4's Educating Greater Manchester

Drew is a highly successful leader of change and transition. His unique view and approach have positioned him as an innovative leadership coac and facilitator. 

Starting his career as a classroom teacher, Drew won the prestigious ‘Teacher of the Year’ award, recognising him as an outstanding classroom practitioner with a focus on behaviour management.

Now as Executive Headteacher, Drew works on a programme of school improvement and mentoring with other Headteachers. He also advises leaders in other business sectors, elite sport, the police and the NHS.


Andrew Warren - Teaching Schools Council Chair 

Andrew Warren image6Andrew is the Chair of the Teaching Schools Council, an organisation which plays a key role in helping to shape national policy, working with senior civil servants and teaching schools across the country to ensure every child, in every part of the country, has access to a great school.




John Edwards - Regional Schools Commissioner 

John Edwards7John started his role on 8 May 2017.  Before his appointment, John was Director of Education and Skills at Manchester City Council.  Earlier in his career he also worked as: a mathematics teacher and senior leader in secondary schools in Yorkshire, a Principal Examiner for Mathematics, Service Director for Schools and Lifelong Learning at Wakefield Council and Assistant Director for Learning at Kirklees council. 

As Regional Schools Commissioner for East Midlands and the Humber, John is responsible for making decisions about academies and free schools within our region.


Unique opportunity to attend workshop(s) focused on the development of the 'Big 3' underpinned by the regions Peer Review Framework.  Also, an opportunity to learn how other Teaching Schools, from in and outside of the Region, have overcome barriers and challenges on their journey.
